Ironically, it was my wife that hired you to train me. I was rather resistant to the idea of personal trainer especially with my preconceived notions of what personal trainers are like. Thankfully, you fit none of the stereotypes of Richard Simmons or Body by Jake or any of those other clowns! Quite the opposite actually and I think that is a big part of my success.
When we first started I was in the worst shape of my life. 275 lbs, no energy and barely able to bend over. Six months, and 50 lbs later, changes have been nothing short of miraculous. Heading into the holidays, I weigh 225 lbs and have gone from a 44 to 36 inch waist. But there is more: having been a very active high school athlete, I forgotten how much I enjoyed lifting weights and participating in sports. An unexpected bonus....my kids no longer make "fat daddy" comments but instead play more outside with me. There's no way being fat and lazy was setting a good example for the kids.
Tom, thank you so much for getting me off the couch and back to an active lifestyle. OK, so my wife got the ball rolling but the training has got my fire going that was out for so long. Now I just want to push farther. With your help, I have permanently changed my diet into something I can live with moving forward. I can now see a day where there is not a flabby part of my body, and with my family history that may mean a lot more than just looking good. Thanks again for what you have done, because even though it is your job, it has changed my life."

"When I first found out about Tom, after searching on Google, I was glad to find someone who lived so close, and could train me in the local clubhouse gym. And reading about his philosophy on nutrition and working out on his website, it made so much sense, I just knew I had to go with him. And I am really glad I did. Just within 2 months of working out 3 times a week with Tom, helped me go from 26% body fat down to 21%, and took an inch off the midsection.
